Privacy policy

1. Controller and scope

The developer of TusDus and controller for processing covered by this policy is Enis Erdoğan (Türkiye). Contact imdevstudios@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. This policy covers the TusDus app, support communication and the TusDus pages on this website.

2. Your study data is not sent to us

We do not run a server or user database that collects TusDus study data. The app has no ads, advertising SDK or usage analytics SDK, and does not track you across apps or websites. It does not request location, contacts or Health data. Personal study statistics are calculated on your device and are not sent to us.

3. Data stored on your device

Your selected exam, study and break sessions, daily goals, plans, revision tasks, question history, wrong-answer notebook, saved questions, flash cards, favourites, notes, preference lists and settings are stored on your device. PDFs, images and audio recordings you add are stored locally. If iCloud sync is on, this data and these files are also stored in your own iCloud account (see Backup, sync and transfer). There is no feature that uploads this content to the developer.

4. Account and sign-in

TusDus does not create accounts and does not require sign-in. Every feature works without signing in; no name, email address or user identifier is requested.

5. Camera, photos, files and microphone

Camera or microphone access is requested when you use a relevant feature, such as taking a photo or recording a voice note. Content you select through photo and file pickers is added to the app. You can change permissions in iOS/iPadOS Settings. Features that do not need that permission remain available.

6. Text recognition and Face ID

Text in photo notes is recognized on device with Apple’s Vision framework. The Notes lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode through iOS; the app has no access to your biometric data. If you choose to show note titles in iPhone search (Spotlight), titles are added to the on-device search index; they are removed while the lock is on or the setting is off. Note content and individually locked documents are never added to the index.

7. Local notifications

Study and revision reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Notification data is not sent to a developer server. Manage reminders in the app and notification permissions in system settings.

8. Widgets and visibility

TusDus and its widget extension share an app group storage area on the device. It may contain timer status, subject and activity names, exam date, goals and flash card content. Adding a widget may make this information visible on your Home or Lock Screen. Manage widgets and Lock Screen visibility in system settings.

9. Backup, sync and transfer

When iCloud sync under Settings > Backup is on, your study data, settings and the PDF, image and audio files you add are stored in the private area of your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service and synced between your devices signed in with the same Apple Account. This data uses your iCloud storage, is kept under Apple's terms and is not sent to the developer; the developer cannot access it. You can turn sync off on the same screen. You can also optionally back up your data to your own iCloud Drive or export it as a backup file under Settings > Backup; these backups are stored in your Apple account or the location you choose and are not sent to us. In addition, depending on system backup settings, app data may be included in an iCloud or computer backup and transferred to a new device. We cannot access these backups. Their scope and protection depend on your backup method and settings. If the iCloud account on the device changes, sync stops; data on this device is not transferred to the new account unless you confirm.

10. Plus, trial and payments

TusDus Plus purchases and the three-day free trial are processed by the Apple App Store. We do not see or store payment card details. The trial is the subscription’s App Store introductory offer. The app processes verified transaction and subscription information provided by Apple locally to check access rights and trial status; this information is not sent to us.

11. Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you include. We process them to reply, investigate reported issues and retain records where necessary. Communication uses Gmail, so the email provider also processes data under its own terms. Do not send passwords, payment card details or patient information. Support records are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable legal obligations.

12. Sharing and external links

You start any sharing of exam tips, study plans or notes yourself. Content is shared through the system share sheet to the app or person you choose; it is not sent to us and is subject to the privacy terms of the app you choose. Source links on some questions open in Safari. These sites are not operated by TusDus and their own privacy policies apply; TusDus does not send them information about you.

13. Website and external services

No advertising or analytics trackers have been added to the TusDus pages on this site. Your language preference is stored locally in your browser and can be deleted in browser settings. The hosting provider may process technical access logs, such as IP addresses and request details, to serve requests and protect the site. External links to the official examination authority, Apple and other services are subject to their own privacy terms.

14. Deletion and retention

Delete notes, cards and records in their respective app screens. Deleting the app may cause you to lose access to local data; we have no copy and cannot recover it. While iCloud sync is on, content you delete on one device is also deleted on your other synced devices. Deleting the app does not automatically delete existing device backups, TusDus backups in iCloud Drive, sync data in iCloud or emails you sent us. Manage TusDus backups in the Files app, sync data under Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage, and device backups through Apple/device settings and contact us for requests about support emails. If you delete sync data there, TusDus turns sync off and does not upload this device's data to iCloud again; it is uploaded only if you turn sync back on yourself.

15. Your rights and requests

Under applicable data protection law, including Türkiye’s KVKK and the EU GDPR, you may request information about processing, correction and deletion where the conditions are met, and object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. Requests under Türkiye’s KVKK are resolved as soon as possible and within 30 days. Your right to contact the competent data protection authority remains unaffected. We cannot remotely access study data on your device.

16. Children and updates

TusDus is intended for people preparing for medical and dental specialty exams; it is not a service directed at children. The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. We update this policy if features or data processing change. The date above shows the last update to this web policy.
